Cheminova, Inc., which is part of a global Plant Protection Company, seeks an Area Sales Manager for the West Coast (CA/AZ/UT/NV/WY). This role reports to the VP National Sales. The ideal candidate will have talent and commitment to support our goals to continuously grow Cheminova’s business and to be a world-class supplier and innovative producer of a broad range of quality crop protection products. This role will be the key link for Cheminova product sales and service in the assigned area, with responsibility for maintaining and growing the business.
Cheminova is internationally headquartered in Denmark with regional headquarters in Research Triangle Park, NC. This position works from a home-based office, ideally located in the Fresno, California area, and requires significant travel.

Duties: |
•Identify and make sales calls to key channel partners to sell Cheminova’s line of products
•Focus on key, profitable products as well as the growth of business relationships
•Provide customer service, including technical service regarding product application, use and performance
•Provide accurate and timely product forecasts
•Participate in annual budget development process
•Keep current on competitive product uses, application and price positions and make recommendations to management to ensure Cheminova’s product line is competitive
•Support the goals and business model established by Cheminova management
•Collaborate with all Cheminova team members to maximize customer service and the overall growth of Cheminova’s business
•Represent the company in a positive, ethical and professional manner
•Ensure Cheminova’s presence in assigned area is in line with applicable regulations

Qualifications: |
•Bachelor’s degree, preferably in agriculture, and minimum five years experience in crop protection product sales
•Strong relationship building and communication skills
•Technical knowledge to provide service regarding product application, use and performance
•Demonstrated ability to successfully forecast product needs and manage product sales and resource budgets
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•Flexibility, creativity and decision-making skills to maximize business opportunities in assigned area
