Description: |
Our client, a nonprofit organization in the Triad Area, has an immediate opening for an ARRA Accountant to manage the ARRA areas of financial transactions, ARRA financial reporting and routine ARRA financial analysis.
This is a temporary to full-time position.

Duties: |
Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
Pre-Audit all ARRA – Financial Information
Audit ARRA contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
Review cost allocation system to assure that all ARRA funds are costed out properly.
Prepare ARRA Grant related reports.
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to GL accounts
Ensure data is maintained for all internal and external audits according to GAAP and Funder requirements.
Prepare grant-related financial reports.

Qualifications: |
BS in Accounting and/or related degree with 5 years of related work experience
Must have Non-Profit Accounting Experience, (Functional Accounting)
Basic computer proficiency in MS Word & Excel
Proficient use of Peachtree Premium Accounting Software or other accounting package.
Excellent computer proficiency in financial reporting and recording software
Excellent financial analysis skills needed
Ability to maintain effective and respected work relationships with others.
